HL Deb 10 November 1988 vol 501 c829WA
Lord Harris of Greenwich

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, following the statement by the Earl Ferrers on 9th February 1988 (HL Deb., col. 102), that legislation directed against the laundering of the proceeds of drugs trafficking in Jersey and Guernsey was "likely to become law in the next six months", they will indicate the current situation concerning this legislation.

The Minister of State, Home Office (Earl Ferrers)

Both Jersey and Guernsey have now passed legislation to correspond to our Drug Trafficking Offences Act and this is being submitted for the Assent of the Queen in Council. The Guernsey law has also been adopted by Alderney and Sark.
