§ Mrs. MahonTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will introduce a statutory code of practice for employers requiring(a) that a ballot is undertaken to ascertain the views of employees before any proposed closures or takeovers are proceeded with, (b) that any such ballot will not be held without notice, (c) that any such ballot will not be held at a time when industrial relations might be harmed and (d) that any such ballot will not impose costs on participants.
