§ Mr. Alton
To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will estimate the number of places per 10,000 women at women's refuges in Northern Ireland.

§ Mr. Needham
On the basis of information available it is estimated that the number of places currently available in Northern Ireland, for women and their children, at women's refuges is 2.9 per 10,000 women aged 18 years and over in the population.
