To ask the Secretary of State for Energy what recent representations he has received about his proposals for privatising the electricity supply industry.

I continue to receive representations on electricity privatisation. It is clear from my discussions with many interest groups that there is a large body of support for our proposals.

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy what proposals he has for the staffing of the regulator's office consequent on the privatisation of the electricity industry.
