§ Mrs. MahonTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list the financial position at the end of the first half of the current budgetary year of each of the 17 Yorkshire regional health authority districts, together with the four districts in South Yorkshire covered by the Trent regional health authority.
§ Mr. NewtonBoth the initial allocation of funds and the release of funds to DHAs during the year are the responsibility of the regional health authority concerned. The hon. Member may therefore wish to contact the chairmen of the Yorkshire and Trent RHAs for details of the allocations for 1988–89. At the same time, she may wish to discuss arrangements for receiving details regarding districts mid year financial positions when they become available.
