Mr. Archer

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland which organisations and individuals made representations or submissions concerning the Draft Matrimonial and Family Proceedings (Northern Ireland) Order; and, of these, which opposed and which supported provisions in the order relating to financial relief.

  • Inner Wheel Club of Coleraine2
  • The Law Society of Northern Ireland
  • Northern Ireland Association of Socialist Lawyers2

  • Northern Ireland Women's Rights Movement2
  • Queen's University Women Graduates' Association (President and Committee) 2
  • University of Ulster Students' Union at Jordanstown (petition containing 95 signatures) 2

  • and by 47 individuals. (44 expressly opposed the provisions on financial relief: three supported them).
