What will be the cost to the taxpayer of implementing the provisions contained in the Family Law Reform Bill.
§ The Lord ChancellorWhen the Bill is fully in force it is likely to require the additional services of approximately 7 registrars in the courts, 25 probation officers and 8 junior administrative staff. It is estimated that the annual cost would be about £885,000. In addition there will be some increased burden on the legal aid fund, possibly of £2.1 million.
