§ Mr. Soleyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many visual display units are in use by (a) his Department and (b) the Metropolitan police; and how many of these are Tempest-shielded.
§ Mr. HurdThere are about 1,000 visual display units in use in my Department at present. Precise figures for my Department and figures for the Metropolitan police can be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
It is not the practice to make public details of security arrangements and I am not able to say what number of visual display units may be Tempest-shielded.
