asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what information or statistics he has as to the levels of leukaemia and other cancers in the Dunoon area compared with average figures for the United Kingdom.

It is not possible to provide United Kingdom comparisons readily, as cancer statistics are collected separately in Scotland and England.

Information immediately available about the incidence of leukaemia and other cancers in the Dunoon area relates only to cases occurring in the 0 to 24 year age group of
