asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will make copies of the Prison Act 1952, the Prison Rules 1964 (with amendments) and the published Prison Standing Orders available in the libraries at all prison department establishments.

All prison department establishments are already instructed to hold in their libraries copies of the Prison Act 1952, the Prison Rules 1964 plus amending instruments and all the published Prison Standing Orders and to make these publica-tions available for reference by inmates.
