HL Deb 21 May 1985 vol 464 cc284-6WA
Lord Melchett

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether a licence was granted to allow badgers to be killed on Selsdon Park golf course; if so, on which of the grounds provided in the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 was the licence granted; whether it is correct that the licence has now expired and that no badgers were taken under it; and whether they will refuse to issue licences to kill badgers in such circumstances in future.

The Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Lord Belstead)

I would refer the noble Lord to the reply I gave to Lord Houghton of Sowerby on 9th May.
