HL Deb 25 March 1985 vol 461 c864WA
Lord Renton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What steps they are taking to find out whether the proposals made in the Statute Law Society's Report on Consolidation of Enactments have general parliamentary support.

The Lord Chancellor (Lord Hailsham of Saint Marylebone)

I would refer my noble friend to the Answer I gave to a similar question by the noble Lord, Lord Wigoder (Official Report, 14th January 1985, col. 858). Since that Answer was published, neither my department nor, so far as I am aware, the Law Commission, has received any comments on the report.
