HL Deb 14 June 1985 vol 464 cc1551-2WA
Lord Melchett

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many cases of unauthorised entry on to land in both public and private ownership by the new Forest Buckhounds have been reported to the Forestry Commission in each of the last five years and what action has been taken against the Buckhunt as a result of such violations.

The Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Lord Belstead)

Two reports of alleged unauthorised entry have been received by the Forestry Commission during the last five years—in August 1983 and May 1984. In neither case could the allegations be substantiated, and no further action was taken.
