How many long playing records or cassettes, as the case may be, a prisoner may have in his possession, in the dispersal system, and whether they will explain how these numbers were determined.
The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Home Office (Lord Glenarther)Prisoners in dispersal prisons may have up to 25 long playing records or up to 12 pre-recorded cassettes, providing they have a record or cassette player. These limits were determined in the light of the available storage space and other conditions prevailing in dispersal prisons, including the need for additional security checks.
