HC Deb 04 May 1983 vol 42 cc76-7W
Mr. Latham

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will bring up to date the table set out by the hon. Member for Ealing, Acton (Sir G. Young), in reply to the hon. Member for Melton on 22 July 1982, Official Report, c. 297–8, regarding the financing of the National Building Agency; and whether the accounts for this body have been finalised, and the organisation finally dissolved.

Sir George Young

It is not yet possible to say when the National Building Agency, which is in members voluntary liquidation, will be finally dissolved. The table in my reply of 22 July 1982 is reproduced as follows, updated to 1983–84.

¶ figures for 1965–66 to 1968–69 and 1980–81 to 1982–83 show staff in post as at 31 March or 1 April (as available). Figures for 1969–70 to 1979–80 show average numbers of staff in post over the year; figures for 1 April are not readily available for these years.
