HC Deb 30 October 1981 vol 10 c474W

Mr. Alfred Morris asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what recent study his Department has made of the response by local authorities to the provisions of section 15 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act; if he is satisfied with the response; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. King:

My Department has no information on the nature of appointments of co-opted members to local authority committees concerned with the special needs of the chronically sick or disabled. These appointments are matters for individual authorities. I am not aware that councils are failing to respond to the requirements of the section.
