HL Deb 09 April 1981 vol 419 cc753-4WA
Lord Avebury

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What is the fee charged by British posts overseas for the work done in connection with renunciation by a person of citizenship of the United Kingdom and Colonies.

Lord Belstead

There is no fee for the registration of a declaration of renunciation wherever it is made, but if it is made before an officer at a British High Commission a consular fee of £3 is payable for receiving it.
