§ Mr. RidleyAllegations that one member of the Argentine naval mission in London had been involved in torture at the Buenos Aires naval engineering school were brought to our attention in December 1979. They were investigated, but it was not possible to reach a conclusion on the available evidence. The allegations that three members of the mission had been involved in torture were brought to our attention in February 1981. The evidence in support of these allegations is now being studied.
