§ Dr. VaughanPharmacists have been asked by the Committee on Safety of Medicines (CSM) to assist and encourage doctors and dentists with reporting of suspected adverse reactions to drugs or other medicinal products. They also receive copies of the committee's warning leaflets. They are not, however, asked to report adverse reactions directly to the CSM since only doctors and dentists are able to assess a possible relationship between treatment and subsequent clinical events.
