§ 37. Mr. Archerasked the Attorney-General what representations have been received by the Lord Chancellor relating to the provision of legal aid for representation before a judge in chambers in bail applications.
§ The Attorney-GeneralRepresentations have been received from Lord Foot and the Law Society. The Royal Commission on Legal Services also considered the subject and made a recommendation. All these are under consideration.
