§ Mr. Roperasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the recent cut in the defence budget for 1981–82 of £700 million, or between 5 and 6 per cent., to compensate for spending in excess of cash limits in 1979–80 and 1980–81; and which specific programmes will be affected.
