HL Deb 06 March 1979 vol 399 cc165-6WA
Earl ALEXANDER of TUNIS

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Who will represent the United Kingdom at the World Administrative Radio Conference to be held at Geneva later this year, and whether there will be any ministerial participation.

Lord BOSTON of FAVERSHAM

The great majority of delegations at Administrative Radio Conferences of the International Telecommunication Union are led by officials. This will be the case for the United Kingdom delegation to the 1979 World Administrative Radio Conference which will be led by the Home Office. The full composition of the delegation will not be finally settled until shortly before the conference begins in September, but as well as Home Office officials it will include representatives of other Government Departments and organisations having responsibilities in this field.
