§ Mr. John GrantI have been asked to reply, since Section 16 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970 refers to the duties of the National Advisory Council on Employment of Disabled People under the Disabled Persons (Employment) Act 1944 to advise the Secretary of State for Employment. Advice is regularly received from the council on a wide range of broad policy matters relating to the employment and training of disabled people. The advice of the council is implemented by the Manpower Services Commission with apropriate reference to the MSC Committees for Wales and Scotland.
