HL Deb 20 June 1978 vol 393 c1112WA
Lord BURTON

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What has been the value of venison exported from Britain during 1977, or as near as possible to convenient dates.

Lord KIRKHILL

I regret that figures are not available in sufficient detail to enable exports of venison to be identified separately from exports of other game. However, informal estimates suggest that about 2,000 tonnes of venison were exported from Britain last year. It is not possible to make any accurate estimate of the value of this meat at the point of export.
