§ Miss Margaret JacksonSection 23(3) of the Education Act 1944 gives local education authorities, in respect of county and voluntary schools, and the governors in respect of aided secondary schools, power to determine school holidays subject to the provision of Regulation 11 of the Schools Regulations 1959.
