HL Deb 29 July 1977 vol 386 c1207WA
Lord ELTON

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will publish a summary of the information supplied by 160 companies active in South Africa to which the Secretary of State for Trade alluded in his Statement in another place on 15th February; and whether they will do so in a form which will make it clear which of those companies have complied with each of the recommendations set out in the Code of Practice laid down in the Fifth Report from the Expenditure Committee (H.C. 116 (1973–74)).

Lord ORAM

The information published by companies is in very diverse forms and I do not have a summary available on the comprehensive lines requested by the noble Lord. My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Trade is however exploring the possibility of making available to the Libraries of both Houses on a continuing basis copies of the information published or available on request from British companies.
