§ Mr. ConcannonThe following table shows the estimated number of jobs provided by firms, in the manufacturing sector, which have been assisted by the Department of Commerce and the Local Enterprise Development Unit under the Northern Ireland industrial development legislation. The Department of Commerce figures relate only to additional jobs created as a result of firms expanding or newly established projects. The figures for the Local Enterprise Development Unit represent net job creation, taking into account job losses as well as new jobs created.

§ Mr. CarterThe Department of Health and Social Services has defined major capital works as those which cost more than £110,000. The four health and social services boards do not normally undertake major building projects costing in excess of that amount from Exchequer funds.
