According to the latest ana1ysis, published in the January 1975 issue ofEconomic Trends, in June 1973 there were 1,969,000 persons employed by central Government, 2,714,000 by local authorities and 1,858,000 by public corporations. The total of 6,541,000 was 26.2 per cent. of the total employed labour force.
