§ Mr. William RossGuidance on the provision of services for disabled persons has been given to local authorities in various circulars issued by my Department. I am sending copies to the hon. Member. In addition, a booklet prepared by the Department of Health and Social Security on "Local Authority Holidays for the Elderly and Physically Handicapped" was issued, under cover of a circular letter, to directors of social work in September 1974.
