(a) up to £21.56 if there is only one breadwinner, and
(b) up to £15.67 if there are children aged 10 or more, according to age.

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection by what amount the £30 million originally allocated for cheese subsidy in 1974–75 has been increased; and what proportion of the new total will be allocated to each of the varieties of cheese eligible for subsidy expressed both as a percentage and as a monetary figure.

The estimate has been increased by £0.5 million. Statistics are not available for each individual variety, but the table below shows the estimated expenditure for the main groups based on forecasts of consumption in 1974–75.
