42. Mr Tomlinson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many (a) telephones, (b) personal aids, and (c) adaptations of buildings have been provided by the Warwickshire County Council per 1,000 population, under the provisions of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970; and how these figures compare with Birmingham, and the national average, respectively.

Figures for the 12 months ending 31st March 1973, the latest period for which information is at present available, include provision under Section 45 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968 as well as Section 2 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970. The number of households assisted per 1,000 of the population was as follows:—
