§ Mrs. HartNation Life Insurance Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Stern Family Holdings to which, as I have already informed by hon. Friend, the Crown Agents have lent money. Crown Agents are not concerned in any rescue operations for Nation Life. As part of their normal money market operations the Crown Agents have, on occasions, accepted sums of money on fixed-term deposit from the company; there are no other connections between the Crown Agents and Nation Life Insurance Company either direct or through any associated companies.
