Mr. McElhone

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what are the numbers of telephones provided under the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970 to the nearest available date in the cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee.

The number of persons assisted financially by these local authorities to obtain or retain a telephone, up to 28th March 1974, are as follows: Aberdeen, 45; Dundee, 70; Edinburgh, 337; Glasgow, 32.
