§ Mr. NottThe earnings of a pensioner, like those of other individuals, are already assessed to tax on a yearly basis. If the hon. Member has in mind the assessment of earnings for calculating abatement of the national insurance retirement pension, this is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services.
