§ Sir G. HoweFollowing representations made to the Department, we are investigating imports of pickled birds from Cyprus with a view to deciding whether there is a case for banning these imports. I have no information about any imports of such birds into Britain from other Mediterranean countries, and there were no imports of them from Cyprus in 1972.
