§ 32. Mr. David Steelasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will consider proposing changes in the Industrial Relations Act to give protection from unfair dismissal to employees who have worked for less than 104 continuous weeks for one employer.
§ Mr. Chichester-ClarkIn accordance with the undertaking given to Parliament during the passage of the Act, my right hon. Friend is keeping this matter under review with the aim of reducing the qualifying period as soon as it is practicable to do so.
