How many United Kingdom passport holders resident in Tanzania have been charged, since the beginning of 1972, with remaining in the country after expiry of a notice declaring them to be prohibited immigrants.

While no official figure is available, from reports made to Her Majesty's High Commission by the people affected, 55 United Kingdom passport holders are known to have been prosecuted since the beginning of 1972 for remaining in Tanzania after the expiry of notices declaring them to be prohibited immigrants.
