§ Mr. Ian GilmourApproximately 18,600 Ministry of Defence headquarters staff are located in the London area and some 1,300 at Bath.
The other major blocks are at Leeds 125, Liverpool 75, Brighton 75, Broxbourne 50 and Reading 50. The remaining 500 or so are scattered in very small groups at various locations throughout the United Kingdom. The numbers outside London are relatively small because headquarters staff who are dispersed away from London are usually reclassified as outstations staff.
