Mr. van SrraubenzeeNo. Section 92 of the Education Act, 1944, only allows my right hon. Friend to ask for returns which are required for the purpose of the exercise of her functions under the Act. The return in question is not considered necessary for this purpose. There is a recommended staffing scale which local education authorities normally apply.
