Mr. Loveridgeasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will exercise her discretion under Section 55(1) of the Education Act, 1944, to instruct all local education authorities to meet the fares of pupils who have been 404W accepted for places in direct grant schools at their parents' expense although not originally selected for such schools by their local authorities.
