25. Mr. McMaster

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what steps he is now taking to secure the arrest and trial of those responsible for attacks on persons and property and for other breaches of the criminal law and for the organising of these illegal activities in Northern Ireland since August, 1969, by Irish Republican terrorists; and if he will make a statement on the Government's present policy in this respect.

43. Mr. Kilfedder

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what instructions he has now given to the security forces in respect of members of the Irish Republican Army, who are wanted for murder and other acts of terrorism.

Mr. Whitelaw

It will continue to be an objective of the security forces to apprehend people responsible for criminal offences.
