Mr. Golding

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) whether he will state what progress has been made towards the implementation of Section 14 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970, which provides for the appointment of a person with experience of disability on the gas consultative councils;

(2) whether he will state what progress has been made towards the implementation of Section 14 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970, which provides for the appointment of a person with experience of disability on electricity consultative councils:

(3) whether he will state what progress has been towards the implementation of Section 14 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act, 1970, which provides for the appointment of a person with experience of disability on the Domestic Coal Consumers' Council.

All Gas and Electricity Consultative Councils and the Domestic Coal Consumers Council have one or more members with some experience of work among, and the special needs of, disabled persons.
