§ Mr. Graham PageThe provisions referred to by my hon. Friend requires authorities to have regard to the desirability of appointing persons with relevant experience to committees concerned with matters in which the chronically sick or disabled have special needs. I have no reason to doubt that all local authorities have observed this requirement, but information is not available as to which authorities have made appointments to their committees solely because of the passing of the Act.
