HC Deb 24 November 1970 vol 807 c111W
Mr. Skeffington

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many Section 19 cases under the Leasehold Reform Act, 1968, have been given his preliminary approval; how many still remain to be dealt with; and how many have been approved by the High Court.

Mr. Channon

The total number of applications made under Section 19 was 258, of which 75 were subsequently withdrawn. Ninety-five applications have been granted, 71 refused and 17 remain to be decided. I have no information about the number of schemes approved by the High Court.

Mr. Skeffington

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he proposes to introduce legislation applying the Leasehold Reform Act, 1968, to flats with long leases.

Mr. Channon

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Lewisham, North (Mr. Moyle) and my hon. Friend the Member for Oxford (Mr. Woodhouse) on 14th July.—[Vol. 803, c.1352–3.]
