§ 22. Mr. Peter Archerasked the Secretary of State for Local Government and Regional Planning whether he will offer guidance to local authorities on the planning of roads, as suggested in the memorandum submitted to him by the Royal Institute of British Architects in December, 1969.
§ Mr. CroslandThe memorandum referred to was submitted to my right hon. Friend the Minister of Housing and Local Government as a commentary on the Skeffington Report.
Together with other comments received, it is being taken into account in the preparation of recommendations to local authorities on this subject. These will cover road planning as well as other forms of development.
