§ Mr. HattersleyThis question among others was raised by a number of hon. Members in a recent meeting with my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary. The arrangements under which the Ulster Defence Regiment will become operational and the consequential disbandment of the Ulster Special Constabulary are currently under discussion with the Government of Northern Ireland.
