The Council of the County Borough of Luton which owns and controls the airport has resolved that night jet departures in 1970 shall not exceed 56 a week and that in the summer periods, 1st April to 31st October, of 1971 and 1972 night jet movements shall not exceed 4,000 and 4,500, respectively, of which not more than half shall be departures.
