§ Mr. HattersleyDuring the year ending 30th September, 1969, the numbers of men and women entrants from civil life for commissioned service with the Armed Forces were 1,729 and 353 respectively. These figures are still provisional. The figures for the comparable period in 1968 were 1,686 and 349.
