We appreciate the great importance of questions concerning the ocean environment,234W but they are already being actively considered in the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of U.N.E.S.C.O. in which the U.S.A. and the U.K. are taking an active part. In these circumstances there appears to be no need for any specifically bilateral initiative, but our marine scientists are maintaining close contact.
