Mr. Lubbockasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government, in view of the fact that a number of local authorities have incorporated provisions in their private Bills to facilitate the introduction of district heating, if he will introduce legislation to give these powers on a national basis.
§ Mr. MacCollMost of the district heating schemes of local authorities can be undertaken within their existing powers, and my right hon. Friend has no present proposals for legislation.
